Neal, I know nothing of these lenses but you should research them as IMO they'd be good all around lenses. In P pick the ISO that makes sense to you for the light and roll with it. That'll let you concentrate on composing the shots and testing the glass and zoom range.

Indeed, but that body will set you back a few thousand bucks. Along with some f/2 it sure would make taking pictures in old school European churches way easier.
