New amp, muddy music.
What else changed? If nothing, that amp could be bad. Your eq settings sound seriously jacked. Is the phase the same?

Anyone familiar with Axiom for HT
If the baffle or orientation of the speaker changes so will the crossover. Ie, if the center is designed to lay down then if you use it on the L/R you have to lay it down. Absolutely no problem with uniform speakers and in fact there are benefits but room placement normally changes that.

Jjust an fyi, crossovers are different for different orientations so if you build three centers they have to be oriented as centers. Make NO changes to the baffle layout as the crossover will need to change

If you do design, you do it on a pc.

I thought Zaph might have released two different crossovers for his speakers. One for on wall and one for not. Pretty nice of him if he did.

Just an FYI, you can't wall mount non-wall mount designs. Completely different baffle step is required. Yeah, yeah, I know "can't" is a contraction for I can try, but that doesn't mean the results will be pleasing. Those Axiom's also look like junk to me...but I am only going on looks.

You can get a Reckhorn. Bang for the buck, its a pretty nice filter.

What really seperates one subwoofer from another?
I'd much rather have a good design with cheap parts than a crappy design with great parts.

PURE SPL Box.
You could also build it with a removable back wall so that you can change box size as well. Figure if its for a class some experimentation is in order.

Hate to tell you this, but if you don't want to manage people you are going to be stuck on a computer. Guess what engineers do these days?

If you feel that it's needed we'll add it. Any size limitations? What kind of port area will you need? You can pm me on here or email me at [email protected] -Rick I am traveling but will measure the space after this weekend when I return. I may have you double the whole outside of the box, and bracing I like a lot of. Curious what standard bracing is for you as perhaps my idea is right up your normal mode Exactly

Guessing the blowout they are having is in regards to being bought buy a Chinese speaker monstrosity in 2010. Had some wicked designs and a heck of an engineering team before that time. Things have been "shook" up to say the least.

Stefan are you looking for a career or a stepping stone to manage people? Any interests you would tie into more long term?

Help me choose best SQ sub for my setup.
Lol hell yeah man. Those kicks are ridiculous. I also should have specified that the picture I posted was to represent a mid/tweet a-pillar install NOT those kicks. Of course then I'd prefer vertical, equidistant, on axis, with nothing behind them and no reflecting planes near them.
