  1. By spacer you mean baffle and you ALWAYS need one. Not much depth there for nearly anything. What processing are you using and what are you trying to blend the with?

They state the engine is essentially the same as the Lightning, but it couldn't be further from it. It shares four things with the Lightning; bore x stroke, the Ford stamp on the block, and the transmission bolt pattern, and the head bolt pattern. NOTHING else is similar. I love that car. I didn't know that information was fictional. I was fairly disappointed when I heard it, but I tend to pay little mind to his criticisms about American cars. Some of it is deserved, but in all fairness he isn't happy unless he's bashing them in some way. It's still better than the way the American version of the show reviews American cars. Those Cadillacs were ugly. Doesn't he own one?

  11. Store you bought them from should take them in return and exchange them out if it truly wasn't damaged by you. Reconing a mid requires a recone kit which I SERIOUSLY doubt they have for that driver. If you use something else you find then you'll need new crossovers and will be starting over.

    You did a pretty good job. The acoustic phenomena that you are describing are engine orders. Basically a forced vibe/driven response based on the speed of the parts in the engine. The only way to describe it or measure it accurately is to have a 3D graph where you keep track of RPM, Frequency, and Amplitude. These orders will excite resonances but things get unique because all orders excite all resonances but at different rpms. Then you add firing noises and things get rather signaturish and indeed nothing that isn't too similar won't sound the same. Of course, I think Teo is just looking for something a cam and a muffler can easily provide. IMO even better to try to do it without the muffler as exciting some of the resonances above in the wrong way can be downright annoying. Of course buying a system can be a different story.

    Enclosure volume isn't changing, but I understand twice the amount of air moving, so you would simply multiply the end result by the # of drivers? Sorry that wasn't clear, wherever the "air pump" is in the equation you should double it.

  21. That is going to be way too low for fleabag subs. In general I am thoroughly surprised at how low people think they are supposed to tune. Regularly it is not beneficial.

    IMO hard to answer without knowing frequency and SPL level. Ie, maybe you don't care as much for the ultra lows since they don't happen so often and of course if it only occurs when your shit is wailing then it won't bug you. Are you starting to get even more why rules of thumb are a joke?
