I think it use to be like that, like at least over a year ago. Try fuck

ROFL. Especially to replace the wheel with 1970.
  3. Fwiw a good rule of thumb is to always crossover at least twice fs. So in this case 7440 Hz. Assuming a steeper than 1st order slope. Either way, terrible combination IMO.
  4. Regrettably that isn't an upgrade.
  5. Okay, good. Obviously not those Seleniums then since you again used the term Midbass...

Nope, never heard it. More elevator music than jazz though.

Thought it was for you, of course the old saying of the best way to learn is to teach applies
  8. Interesting statement. I always use home audio drivers in my cars. NEVER their amplification though.

What about frequency response? Why not just carry WinISD on your pc?

Much easier and it is exactly what that formula was designed to approximate and generically the basis for the rule of thumb. Figure why use approximations when a real value is possible
  11. From what I recall it surely wasn't SI's best move. At least from the responses who had both most of what I recall reading was that the older versions were preferred. About the time they left here though so it becomes more foggy than the previous versions.

Just started our descent. Probably get to lose internet in 10.

It's from winisd, I believe it's the percentage of mach. If assuming correctly and I got 0.04 from winisd, then 0.04*344.8 m/sec = 13.792 m/sec. Does that sound better? Yep. Again, I always just design around the m/s. 14 is conservative, but not overly so

At 30,000' en route to San Jose. Have a fucking stop in SLC though. I hate and despise indirect flights, but direct was $1600.

Tanner feels the same way. Woke up every 30min all night long. Slept on my lap in the chair downstairs so the w could get some rest. Considering she is on her own all week that was the least I could do. Needless to say I am exhausted.
  17. If you need better midbass you should look at something else completely. That is not the forte of those drivers, not even close.
  18. Why'd you take out the airbag?
  19. I am a wee bit Norwegian myself...and love the land of Seas.

You are using strange units for mach...normally it is stated in m/s and would be way higher than what you posted.
  21. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Of course it will be. Vent noise in a home environment on a midrange is WAY more critical than a sub in a car.
  22. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Rule of thumb is wrong always. Without a frequency component it makes no sense. I too just model because all I care about is port noise, not ideal this or that.

I know, why I asked what you used...and not for your webpage, but your example.
  24. I don't need to compensate
