Sled on the trailer with the cover down in the garage right now which means its a pain in my arse to get it out, but I am supposed to on Sunday. When I do, I'll unload it and disassemble the beyotch and document the shit out of anything you want if you'll help me through this. Whenever you have time to do it. Don't work on it especially for this. I think its sounds like a kick ass idea and obviously don't need the sled until next winter, but can easily keep the hood and such out of storage and still store the beast. Was going to hopefully pick up a 19" rack this weekend and need the sled bed to grab it since I don't have a truck anymore. I'm pretty stoked about it too ! Brainstorming power supply ideas right now... Reflector issues? Need some light to the side and assume this is possible but don't know.

Depends on the texture you like. You can always pull some a bit early. It never hurts to get your hands in teh meat as they will let you know more than any temperature probe. If you get lucky and get a cut with more yummy fat and tissue than normal it may even be done at a lower temp, but also might take more. Depends on when that collagen can break down and get all lip smackin' good. I hate gummy soft meat so I would err on the side of underdone, but again if you can't pull it, it isn't ready. Not saying you should pull it "hot" as a good hour or so rest is always beneficial.

160 sounds a bit low, but then again I've never done a pig shoulder (yet) Really low. It will be hard to chew. That isn't even above the plateau. 180 minimum which is what I read the first time. Normally somewhere between 180-190 is the sweet spot. About 10F lower than brisket (190-200), then? That is where I like my brisket as well.

Hopefully you have some eq available as well as the breakup mode on that cone is a bit rough if I remember right. Nothing that can't be tamed though and is probably already notched a bit in the crossover as I am sure they are aware of it since its in their FR plots.

No, but the F6 isn't at all a bad driver. The crossovers at least look "reasonable", I know nothing about the tweeter or where they are sourcing it but wouldn't be surprised if for the money it is a great set. I was just searching through madisound, figured a lot of stuff they carry was decent, saw that and "looked nice", and fits my budget I'm going to reattempt glassing my doors in a few weeks, hopefully they'll come out decent and have those jamming When you get them do log more info on the tweeter please Also, I'd be curious to insure it is the F6 and not F5. They list the F6 as a 7" but that comp set says 6". Perhaps even in the specs, I just went by the looks Hopefully the tweeter isn't a derivative of the TN28 which I found far from stellar. Of course at that price it may still be better than most car audio schtuff.
  14. Sound Quality can actually be measured, BUT it requires a panel of listeners to calibrate the test equipments metrics. This is NEVER done in the realm of loudspeakers as it would piss off way to many people claiming to be Audiophiles. Instead it is a measurement technique used to decide how an exhaust should sound, what the closure of a door should sound like, how a washing machine sounds and so on. Huge money in industry doing this work, but again there is a marriage here of a statistically significant sampling of true blind A/B test subjects and measurement techniques. Obviously from an algorithm standpoint this could be done for loudspeakers as well, but it wouldn't prove anything other than the majority of the test panel prefers unit X. IE, it is used for determining things for the masses and considering every person's hearing is different for acoustic reproduction it isn't absolutely the best method. Another method could of course be implemented, but "scoring" around it would be tough. It is rather easy from a technical perspective to combine an original signal with a recorded one and compare. One could even use panels to then define the metrics that Randal plagiarized above, but the usefulness is a bit absurd as quite frankly the average SQ competitors car really isn't so special that it is hard to tell which is better.

It seems to only light the surface though and the fire should be started from the bottom/middle (depending on load)

Normally a good source *didn't read it* Thought of a tool you "need". 7 in 1 tool. By FAR the best lighting method on the market. Sorry I didn't think of it earlier. I normally use a Mapp gas torch. Me too, sorry 5 in 1 tool: http://www.thebbqguru.com/pdf/Guru_Golf_Club.pdf It works fucking awesome. Just plop the charcoal in and hold it there for about 30 seconds for a smoker fire and for 5-10 minutes for a steak fire.

IIRC you were having GI issues as well. Try to get away from carbonated drinks. The carbonation will kill off digestive enzymes in your stomach. Trust me, you will feel better once you kick the pop. So weird! Carbonated water always eases the stomach for me! Carbonated water is good for you. Just like water, basically no different. The shit Ryan is referring to are the additives in soda that are bad, from sugar (or fake sugar) to the acid and so on. No worries with Co2 H20 I was instructed to even stay away from the carbonated water as well, of course I always got the store bought brand, but none of them had any additives according to the label. I don't know. Poor instruction. There was a study done about 15 years ago that stated it as bad, but that was reversed a year or two ago as they realized that they didn't test it right.
  23. Drama, no. We like real information and threads that are helpful to not only the OP but also those that search. We also don't close things and censor as it isn't necessary. Better to leave everything in the open. Instead of closing or hiding we respond. Sometimes peoples butts get hurt in the response and it creates drama, but that is their fault in how they read it. As for this thread there is no real need to close this thread, even though it was a fail from the get go doesn't mean the OP can't still attempt to post his point.
  24. Why not 86 the minidsp and upgrade the h/u to run active. Nothing used? Really? Not even drivers?
