best 15" subs for a ~4 cubic ft box
Less port area will lower the tuning...of course you never told us what you had for area so it is hard to make a recommendation.

Welcome to the IHoP
I spent a significant amount of time deadening my doors and truck and all and I was at the school one night jamming to music waiting for a friend to leave the dorm and when she came out she said she could hear my music from about 50yds away. I was really surprised. Couldn't imagine what it would be with out though. In my truck you'd think I don't have a sub. Perfect for me and definitely noticeable that it is there. I know it wasn't sub frequencies that she heard as I wasn't listening to music heavily loaded on the bottom end. You can't really tell that the icon is playing in my truck until you turn it off, which just makes me think it must be set up right I also never listen to it very loud, lol

No, the b-i-l rode the old one and it spit the jackshaft bearing. Common at 2k miles and mine made it 3k so not a big deal. Should only take me an hour, but everything never goes smoothly.

Just in that mood. Really should hop in the garage and finish fixing the sled...but lazy.

I think you misunderstood yourself...and me.

Better than a 6-12pack of Mt Dew a day. Changed to stop ingesting crap and found out I like it even more. Great coffee is wonderful followed by bubbly water. There IS a reason most of the world prefers it, amusing it took me until a year ago to hop on board.

RF-60C Crossovers, do I really need them?
YES, you need to use all the crossovers. You cannot run them in parallel (or series rofl) as they would then not at all be designed for those drivers. Lol, your probably might be high. It is NOT 0.5ohm stable in stereo. You really don't need that many components, many ways to skin that cat that are more effective.

Fi BTL off of 1200rms???
Better is subjective, louder is not. Even on 1watt the BTL will be the loudest sub that Fi makes. By a bunch. If that is what is better to you, by all means get it. On the same note if that is your goal, definitely not the Q.

I Got The Wrong Speaker
Are you sure you chose the right options? You either have some shit luck or pull the trigger rather rashly. Either way it sucks.

Welcome to the IHoP
Not sure when you last asked or heard. I have a 9mo old son. I am a workaholic I have a new snowmobile and somehow have managed to log 1200mi this year The M5 is for sale  The truck will be for sale next week I have now flown nearly 1M miles In the past two years I have spent 1/20th of my time in Japan I have spent 1/15th of it in CA I am determined to develop my wine cellar to over 1500 bottles by 2015. At around 400 now I will probably only do one more car audio installation in my life Home stereo on the other hand :) Boats are not cars btw. After no longer really building boxes, I finally have a saw worthy of building anything with. Bought a Delta Unisaw. Finally will have 220v in 2 weeks. Hired a maid as I give the fuck up. No longer have the time with Jr. to do what is necessary and I want my garage time back. Motorcycle is for sale. Going to buy a car that it isn't "worth" upgrading the stereo in to drive daily. Mind set on a Pantera for my last audio install, but I need to save up for 2 more years. Or at least finish the Master closet and home theater framing/electrical/insulation/sheetrock first. I am thoroughly addicted to carbonated water. I drink about 4-5 liters a day. Luckily I built a carbonator otherwise I'd be effin' underneath a pile of bottles. I don't care if I go out anymore, much rather cook and spend time with friend/family. I *might* be addicted to internet forums. SSA in particular; however, I'd love it if homeaudioforum.net took over. Out of the world, I had the only territories on target last year. Considering I cover 2/3 of our continent that is pretty sweet. I am sure there is more, but damn if I can think of it right now.

Mark had to reboot the server this morning. He should have left it down longer, I'd have a more productive day

4th order design
For $120 you should really just buy a bigger single driver and build a ported enclosure. Don't fry that amp using it in house without a good DC power supply...
