  1. That suggestion would be mine. Up front bass ftw. Underseat in those is tough, getting real authoritative lower octave from rear doors also not easy. Bucket seats are also more comfortable and if you keep this truck anywhere near as long as the last your ass will thank you for that alone. Then add the opportunity to build in a custom console to do what you need for your truck as well as stereo and it is a win all over the place. While a lot of work, it may be less than the other options.
  2. So you are normally surrounded by idiots? I feel sorry for you Neal.
  3. I have 5, don't really need more but am tempted.
  4. Out of the closet again, hmmm
  5. While I have no idea what you are referring to as generally I am completely underwhelmed with any stock system, if you shared what was interesting to you we could help you avoid the need for the bookmark perhaps.
  6. Yep. Noise floor was the only difference I really compared and that improved. That was just ONE of the systems I replaced the amps in with those. You are about to be perma-banned if you keep up your childish nonsense.
  7. Interesting. I went from a P400 the other way with the same results.
  8. So you went with a less efficient driver since you can't run a bigger alt. That makes sense /sarcasm
  9. I have the same Punch 150 in my basement.
  10. I almost bought the full range micro but instead just the little mono. On a sub any amplifier signature is moot. I felt the same as Aaron the first time I heard some of the early D's, but don't feel that way on the new ones. Of course some people still swear by tube amps as well, so sound is rather personal. In my current daily listening configurations I have a few class D's, a T, 2 tube amps, a Class A/B, a Class A, and some Onkyo/Integra hybrid. Fundamentally when tuned up they all do the job just fine and are the least influential part of the sound in their respective systems. The exception being the guitar amp of course.
  11. ...goes off to buy Johnny Hiland cds
  12. That shirt makes me like country....first time
  13. Personally I would lift the seat and build the skeleton of the box first. Then choose drivers. Everything about underseat is a compromise
  14. I am staying home damnit
  15. Single ported 12 is a real stretch to fit. Single 12 sealed is easy. Pair of 10s is fine too. Downfiring gives you gains but it is easier to get up firing to sound better. For what you describe I personally wouldn't strtch it and run sealed. Single 12 buys you a way nicer driver than the same budget for a Pair of 10s.
  16. Thought I was in the hop ...posted nonsense and explained tit with a cell phone pic
  17. House smells of green Chile
  18. Whatever you want the eye to focus on should be in focus the rest not
  19. Depends on the composition Personally for those I would have much more rear 2/3+
