US-Amps VLX-400 VS. Sundown SAZ-3000D
I don't know about old and being hard to beat. The construction of all things real these days is far superior to older models, however normally in the bang for the buck realm a used amp will beat a new one. In the case of the amp you chose, you cannot even say that though. Nothing at all wrong with either choice.

Beware the frequency response on the two "midbass" channels of the JBL. 300hz should be fine for midbasses, but that is all you will get out of the amp.

Go active. That set really begs for it anyways.

sound deadening question
It wouldn't be if there weren't stupid posts. If I had full run of the forum, the rules would be different but first off not using grammar would get you warned the first time and banned the second. It is just rude to come into someones house and not spend the time to actually try to ask the question you want. I'd also require that each post started with a phrase like "I searched for xxxx, and xxx, and xxx but couldn't find an answer...." I'd also have a pretty much zero tolerance policy. Perhaps you don't realize how many threads some of us have to read. It is really deflating when crap like this happens and makes those of us who put in a lot of time waste time which sucks.

forgot which is negtive and postive.
Either way just attaching something to red is NOT the right way to do it.

port design question
Can't do it that way, instead design the box for having two ports.

Problem with getting my 15" Fi Q to sound right.
Average DC voltage on an AC signal is a very, very useless number. ???? Measuring impedance with a DMM doesn't work, it only measures resistance. A mono-amplifier will be more than enough to drive one speaker (as long as it is rated to play the full audio spectrum) many people use 1 chn or 2chn amps bridged to one channel for full range drivers. Videos are completely useless and should never be used for depicting how well a driver does anything. I find the eD boner from the two posters in here very amusing. There is nothing special about their amps, in the price range there are better solutions, and the owner is such an idiot and ass there is no reason to ever do business with them. Perhaps since it is output you strive for you should have bought something other than the Q. While I think that amp is a joke, I am not so sure it is the problem. I would put money on it being user setup issues. It is rather easy to tell if you have an unusual loading issue, just take the box out of the truck and keep it connected. Considering what has happened so far this would be my first step.

sound deadening question
I am not so sure you understood what's been told to you. Your question was rather general and when you type like your 10 I'd be suspect of your answers. I also know that you have eliminated most of the valued members from responding as I personally also won't return to a thread where the OP won't even take the time to formulate a sentence.

How bad is your gas mileage? You definitely have carb issues, glad you are addressing them. Personally I'd doctor the exhaust a bit as well as everything in it in 75 wasn't so efficient.

the BOX
Even less than an inch is okay, the pole vent doesn't need that much room to breath. As with anything there are exceptions so actually making your question specific instead of general would get you much better answers.

SAX-100.4 SQ?
If they sound bad it will all be in how you setup your DSP-6SL. In general they will do more than you ask.

Do it anyways. Incest is best.

forgot which is negtive and postive.
Either way you shouldn't go by what they are labelled but by what sounds better. I don't own a vehicle and havent' where I run everything to its label. You should try ALL combinations of polarity when setting up your system.

The Seas Neo's are sweet, in particular for a low cost small format tweet. The weakness of the 720 set IMO is the tweeter; however, that being said I really don't think that it will be a very effective swap to use the Neo with the 720 passive.

These the 5-8ct freshwaters? If so, we get some up here and they are indeed the bomb.

great first scoot. i loved my 73 cb750k. easy to mod, easy to ride, though a little heavy and clumsy for the driving test if it's your first bike. though the 500 should be a bit lighter on it's feet. how much is he asking? in great shape, with that age, i'd expect somewhere in the $1200-1500 range. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee No shit? What should I ask for an 82 CB750k with 8k miles. Upgraded tires, fairing or not (have both setups).

I'd only use the PC fan as a calibration standard if it gave you exact flow at exact voltage and even then I'd consider it a 20% number.- family guy
I'd have to do it muted, which probably won't make it funny.- Floor Standing speakers.
Don't take offense at this, but with the way you are asking questions you should really only do 1 mid and 1 tweeter in a classic 2 way. Everything else will make them sound worse and not better unless you really know what you are doing and have good measuring gear and more importantly good measuring know how. On top of this, I would highly encourage you to stick to a paper cone or similar forgiving mid otherwise I would expect highly that the crossover that you design will not be sufficient to deal with the anomalies of the speaker cone.- Fi Q or BL?
the BL was most definitely the better choice for you - Welcome to the IHoP
