The only bummer is that the lake I live on has a 40mph speed limit :(

    And with no cover
  3. Your goals are very, very strange. I personally wouldn't put that thing in my car as I see no useful features on it.
  4. All over the board on that one, more importantly though you can shut off the internal amplifier in the 880 when you use the active crossovers which is sweet. Dead heads >> amplified h/u's.
  5. Indeed, the title of the whole thread is a misnomer as there are no lows in Rap. The Q will play lower, but doesn't sound like the right selection for the OP.
  6. From where?
  7. dump it out. <--snob
  8. You should really start over. Your thread should be more about asking for help picking your gear, as at the moment you can't see the trees from the forest and are going to get confused. In order to help, we need to know: Goals, space, budget, music preferences, installation experience (or if you are paying someone), what you currently own, what kind of car, aiming, location of drivers going into the car and so on. If you give us this all of a sudden things will get much more helpful.
  9. For how much time you spend tinkering with your car, and having an active capable headunit I would surely use it. For less money you can WAY outperform those DD's.
  10. why? I just do, I have a lot of people that ride in the car with me and in a big suv I am not going to just have speakers in the front and have my friends having just bass in their ears. I understand there are many ways to have good sound up in the front, but if I was doing that there would be a lot more than just pro 60's up front but I want good speakers up front and decent in the back if I need more up front that will come after hearing it. If you install the front ones right, the people in the back won't even know they don't have speakers anyways.
  11. I like your request, normally people want to piss off others around them; keeping it all to yourself is good Definitely applying mat will help do this. Personally I'd put on a single full layer and then anywhere it remains "active" a second. If you can afford an acoustic absorber on top of that it will help as well. To test for active spots just rap on the metal with your knuckles and you will hear where attention is needed.

The 75 is even more fierce when the boat is almost in the water. ie a big cig boat doesn't feel as absurd as a bass boat.

Blue is your remote turn on for your amp (says antenna as it is also the lead that would put up your power antenna if you had one) Pull a fresh ground as the stock GM one is crap and will make your schtuff noisy. Those quick connects are just dying to burn out the amp channels on your h/u. Take them out ASAP. They do nothing good and lots of bad. Red indeed you are fine.
  15. Shit, not sure how I missed this. Happy Belated Mang!!

Never had my legs fall asleep while taking a dump on a jet ski
  18. Spend the budget you have for all your doors on your fronts alone and enjoy
  19. No back speakers at all.
  20. If you are truly looking for the best, it is time to play in the world of DIY.
  21. That is what I would pick as well.
