  7. DMM or other accurate voltage measuring device or don't do it at all. You really need them to be matched well.
  8. Indeed. Yours can't be in as bad of a place as mine though Nope, your is the definition of dumb or straight out of 1960. Mine also comes on a matching rim.

You can't run ported in that space, unless you use an external port.

    only 23? slackers.
  11. The real problem with standards are they aren't simple to measure and or be agreed upon. I don't really feel the CEA regulations did much of anything other than put a label that manufacturers can point to saying that they are compliant. Either way specs have been and will continue to be very loose in their definitions.

Depends on your tolerance for port chuffing. I surely couldn't handle a single 4" on a driver of that potential.
  13. I do hate having to have a spare tire. They eat up so much good space.

  15. Now all you need is an upspiral bit and a slightly more accurate circle jig. Really nice work otherwise.

    Blow some chit up!
  22. One other step beyond FEA and that is verification. Here is a snapshot from the B&W measurements of their cone showing no breakup. This is usually done after prototyping to verify that the modelling was done correctly or to adjust the model. They measure almost every part of their driver to optimize it; however, the downside is that a system to do this costs an order of magnitude+ beyond a Klippel. If you get their 800 brochure and DVD there is a really neat blurb on how they use the technology. Of course, this is what I do for a living. Verify FEA models or build a measured model of a part instead.

Anything cool going on? Triple-homicide/suicide? Will I see you getting interviewed on Montel Williams ? Armed assault...I think. So far we are stuck in the questioning and selecting the jury stage. Two days of absolutely nothing.
