  1. Non Rx glasses and sun glasses go a looooooong way in stopping dry eyes.I wear my MJ's ALL the time
  2. Helps when you have arguably the two best transducer engineers in the world in your corner. I can't take all the credit. However the description and response was all you. IMO this is exactly why forums do and should exist including vendors.
  3. Quentin - props on your answers so far. More thorough than I've ever seen any manufacturer do and without any BS. Nice
  4. You should visit a production plant in Asia once, you'd NEVER ask that question again. And regrettably that is what I will be doing in two weeks.
  5. Not by my definition. For me as soon as it is localizable it shouldn't be sub.
  6. Almost 10 years ago. SO GLAD I did.
  7. I know more than a few relatives who would buy two or three each, As long is it actually works, that is. I didn't read the whole article, just the premise but can already tell you it works. Cost effective however I have not seen.
  8. http://jamesdysonaward.org/Projects/Project.aspx?ID=3515&RegionId=3&Winindex=0 We've helped with more complex things

  11. Where the fuck do you shoot? To take only head shots with the 50 on a crop you have to be 15' away. Takes a HUGE room to make it work. I'd love to do more outside and then it has a use, but inside I don't know.Living rooms are my usual venue. As for studio and staged shots, more zoom is more flattering usually. Just the nature of "flattening" features. A buddy gave me a shit load of books on a thumbdrive with techniques and it helped a lot after I read it and then looked it up online for the dummy version. <-interested in the dummy version
  12. watts are watts, its the owner that people have the beef with.Cool with me brother ... Like I said, it was just an observation.Ah, so they did as well as LP. What a surprise. Oh that's right, watts are watts. Personally I won't pad an asshat's pocket nor will I support a company that charges a ridiculous premium for no reason. Too smart for either.
  13. Used for sure. Budget and goals will only be met that way. Search local CL and ask when you have questions.
  14. A 15 ported is akin to two sealed. 2 sealed 15's wallop 3 12's. Sounds like a serious wtf maneuver to me.
  15. Sounds like you just decided. You know me better than that, I decided that and undecided that at least 3 full circles now

  17. That and the 50mm I bet the 50 would work for 90% of what you could want. I will probably sell the 50 here pretty quick. Absolutely do not like shooting with it. The 17-55 is so much more useable it is unbelievable. For head shots the 50 is great...but then sometimes it is too fast. The 17-55 even focuses 5x as fast. While I don't regret buying it, I actually don't see a use for it. If I were shooting portraits it'd be a different story. 50mm is about as long as I can handle on a crop for that...but for general purpose use it is a lens that will basically never be on my camera. Too long and too short all at the same time. After having the 17-55 I somewhat question my need for anything longer. Wider is easy, longer I don't really need atm. I know that will change with sporting events and such, but atm the only times I'd need it I couldn't have had it on the lens as it wouldn't work for the shorter stuff. ALmost makes me want two bodies...oh wait!
  18. Or buy the Sigma 17-50 OS that is on CL right now and sell when the Canon returns.
  19. Broke my 17-55 Dropped the whole thing. Back to Canon for repairs. Shitty timing too as it won't be back in time to go to China with me. Trying to decide if I dare live with the 18-270 for the trip.
  20. Didn't know it existed...
  21. That is no fun and would be REALLY expensive
  22. FUCK YES! My next project is putting some white reflective boars on the garage ceiling and adding 8-12 flourescents. I HATE dark garages. I'm in the process of getting a new Dragon from the "bone yard" and have my garage fully prepped for its arrival. I can't wait for the snow to hit! What year and what is wrong with it? Going to yank the suspension, motor and coolers from the IQR. Have not so much time to get it re-assembled...
  23. I find it really funny when search engines show up as visitors. Ought to be fun stuff they are finding
  24. Hey Bing!
  25. So I am watching the game. Holy comeback in the makin
