Applying an eq to have an eq is a terrible reason and will result in fail. Fixing anomalies in the response of your system though is a great idea. Of course in order to select said eq it requires a description of what you are trying to do.

You could mate the NS6 with a variety of tweeters and get by with a rather cheap crossover. Only other thing I see is a potential line array with the JAMO, but I didn't even click on it to see it's specs or FR.

Turn down the sub and use the eq you have to solve it. No longer ruined. No money spent.
