would I be better doing some round ports instead of venting? I'm just curious, maybe I'm asking for alot off of my 500w JL amplifier on my Icon...

I'm not sure what I want... But epic is what I need.... Currently 2.5 cubes... tuned to 29hz.... What could I do for a more awesome sound?lol... I'm an idiot... If I go bigger on box design and stick with 29hz what will that do? Say go 3 cubes after displacement of subwoofer and port...? Can I expect any gains? I am looking for more umph at lower frequencies without sacrificing too much on the 60-85hz range.. Right now, I think it loses slight output at that range meaning the lower end in the 30hz sounds louder... Or should I be dialing more specifics into my amplifier? I'm at a loss right now... Should I just put more than 500w power to it and that should get me going? I'm kinda wondering ...
  5. I have experience with Kinetik and it keeps my voltage stable for my little system... But I def would feel better with a H/O alternator...
  6. pics for sure... and good luck with the driver man!

  11. welcome sir!!!
  12. I added a thin layer of a rubber mat, I think it was pond liner.... Then I put some foam type padding to eliminate some of the whine coming from my case... Problem is I have sooo many vents that it didn't help a whole lot... But my PSU sounds less...
  13. welcome sir!!!
  14. ^^^eww... halloween vehicle???
  15. yo se.... lol .. i thought my joke would be understood...
  16. good luck and let us know what you end up with...
  17. also forgot to mention... Mount your amplifiers properly or I iz coming there to steal yo shit!
  18. Follow that link.... Use THIS link to find out the bulb size you need... Install is easy, just need to find a good place to mount the converter box... Also you have a projector headlight assembly as most cars above the 30k price range offer... So you'll be okay, as they will direct the light in the right direction and won't make people hate you... As far as Kelvin goes.. I went for the one in the 5K range and it is white... Wish I went for the 4K since at certain weather conditions I notice a drop off in lighting... Get the 55w kit as it is stronger for the low beam setup.... GL!
  19. Yeah I'll probably try rubbing alcohol then wd40 or something Thanks denatured alcohol will do wonders as well...
  20. Yep, just added one run of 0/1 welding wire from output stud on stock alt to positive terminal on battery, no additional ground wires. It should be enough to get me by for a few months until DC can make an alt for my car did you fuse the wire stef?
  21. beautiful build man!
