Me Complaining
Well i have some good news! The shipping actually went well on the Pioneer! That usually doesn't happen for me. It also looks brand spanking new! Should be able to test it by Monday, i want to deaden my doors first. Hopefully it works flawlessly! We all know that outside appearances have little to do with whether or not the insides are damaged. I heard some complaints about the Pioneer running really hot and not truly being 2ohm stable. The Pro 60 SE's are 3 ohms and I'm going to build an amp rack for the Pioneer and the JBL (it appears i need to add that to my signature) and utilizing some PC fans I have laying around from an old server. Should be fun, eh?

Me Complaining
So instead of starting a 3rd thread about karma striking me again, I decided to just post again in this one! I've been looking for a new front stage amp for about 2 months now. What did i want? A kinda old school/ old school Rockford Fosgate amplifier that did around 125 wrms at 3ohms. Why didn't I find one? My budget was about $60 and that was just simply too cheap, I didn't expect to find one, but I thought it was worth looking for. Finally yesterday I gave up the search and bought a used Pioneer GM-5400t on ebay for $30.00. Guess what sold on ebay today for $38.00? Ebay LInk (not sure if that link will work but it should) ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! A Punch 500.2 sold for 38 stinkin' dollars?! Oh well. Someone got a hell of a deal. I wanted that amp :/

Damplifier Pro Confusion
Oh yeah man, back when i had the BTL, I bought it 7 months before i even had a vehicle to put it in. Took like 16 months to get everything together! That BTL was a great paperweight during those times... BTW, now its time to whine. Installing this stuff takes time! Maybe I'm paranoid about "ensuring full contact with the surface" or maybe i suck at it cause it takes forever. Also, this heat here in Michigan isn't making it easy. NOT used to it being 98 degrees outside all day. Got one door half done today well...... maybe like 1/3 done. haha. Unfortunately the weather report says storms for the next four days, hopefully not i don't want to wait to get this finished!

see the signature bro! 2 15" SA-15's with two 6 inch aeroports tuned to ~32 hz running off an SAZ-3000d. For the past year, the front stage has been Boston Acoustic Pro 60se off of an alpine 3522, but i just bought a used Pioneer gm5400t which i'm waiting to arrive in the mail and am in the process of deadening the doors as well. Also got Alpine typeR 5X7's in the rear doors running off of an JBL GTQ 200. That's in the process of being hooked up too. Should be done by monday. What system are you running?

Good luck. They aren't for sale often. And when they are, they usually go pretty quickly. Especially at a price like that.

rodents eating car wires help?????
We use mothballs with great success. But since I'm guessing your vehicle is a daily driver that probably won't work :/ Thought I'd share anyways.

Can anyone play the piano?
I'm kinda confused. I might be able to help you out, but the song i listened to does have a piano in it for the entire duration of the song. Would a video of the hands while playing help? The piano seems like a pretty easy harmony section so I think you would be able to handle it. During the chorus there is alot going on though and with just the piano it probably wont sound the same. I'll tell you what, i'll look tonight for my keyboard and see what I can do.

Damplifier Pro Confusion
Also, when Second Skin makes an installation video on my exact product, I think that it should look just like their video. And if it doesn't, then I figured i would ask some questions

Damplifier Pro Confusion
The black coating looks exactly like butyl. That's my confusion. I though it would be worth the question before installing it only to find out i did something wrong and then try to take it all off and go through all that B.S.

OHHHHH wow, they just painted/colored it somehow. Why would they add that necessary confusion? Thanks Julian

Damplifier Pro Confusion
So when I watch all the instruction videos on Second Skin's website, and when i look at all the pics of builds, i observe that the silver foil is what you see after the installation. I'm confused because the Damplifier Pro has the black adhesive on the bottom, the foil, and then a thin black top that is glued/attached somehow to the foil. If i take off the wax cover and then install it, I'll be seeing the black cover on the outside and not the foil like all the videos and user installation shows. I'm assuming I should just take off the wax cover, roll it on, and not worry about that small black layer? That seems rather obvious to me, but the videos on Second Skin's website show differently and so do the user installations. Here are some pics to clarify. Thank-You

Seeking some AMP advice
That much power is going to be tough on a stock alternator. Buy all the batteries you want but it takes power to make power. Usually in cases like these I would suggest the OP does minimal electrical upgrades to start with (big 3, new batt/new alt) and then see what his voltage is like to determine what else he would need. But since your really opposed, and i can see why, to getting a HO alternator... I wouldn't really know what to suggest. I think you'll have a large voltage problem if you keep that alternator stock and run that much power. Anyway you could find the specs of the alt?

Sundown Audio vs Hifonics
Frostedflakejake replied to Angelboy863's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalI have a SAZ-3000D but have no experience with any Hifonics amp. Since you say that the set-up will only be for one year, and your a little tight on cash, I would recommend the HiFonics. I have heard about 4 people on this forum who've had their HiFonics go "poof" and die with a cloud of white smoke. I'm positive most/all of those users weren't properly using the HiFonics (proper air-flow for ventilation, too low of resistance, improper electrical, etc.). I've never seen a member on this Forum complain about their Sundown blowing up. That's not an in-depth analysis; i do NOT live on this forum so posts like that about Sundowns could exist. It seems to me that perhaps HiFonics amplifiers can't take the abuse that Sundown's can, but I don't have enough experience/knowledge needed to give the best advice out there. Still, since you won't be here for too long, I would recommend the HiFonics since you won't need it for too long. Otherwise I would recommend the Sundown.

Good names for an audio shop?
You open a shop I'll definitely come check it out and recommend you as an actual non-shady shop. Getting hard to find around here.

Cadence Ultra Drive Z1200
Quick Question, I'm looking for a new front stage amp since the 3522 isn't really cutting it anymore. I'm searching ebay for used 2 channel amps and I came onto this "Cadence Ultra Drive Z1200" as well as many others. Before i start considering the Cadence I tried to look it up for RMS wattage and other specifications. Upon research, I've found different information from different reliable resources. However, i found nothing specifically on "Cadence Ultra Drive Z1200". I found stuff on a Cadence Z1200 being a mono bock, and stuff on a Cadence Z1200c being a 2 channel. I don't suppose anyone out there has any useful information for me on the Cadence Ultra Drive Z1200? Thanks ahead of time
