  1. belle is 1100W @ 1ohm on the sub and 75W @4ohm on the 4ch side. I'd love to see a 250.4 in the ms1000 style. Just get a little more than 2x the heatsink length and you're set. I'm with a few of the others too, i'm 100% ok with the amps losing any and all crossovers. if you go with a 5ch it should be at least 100W on the a/b side and 1000W on the D if it's a 6ch then 5/6 should be 2ohm mono stable IMO

yep, the 2.4 is an interference engine. And what makes the timing belt such a pain is that the room from the cam sprocket to the body wall is less than the width of the timing belt itself. Some of the damn bolts won't even come out because they're too long, gotta raise and lower the engine to get out even the simplest of crap. luckily timing it is a breeze

stratusfaction got a new idler pulley today (accessory belt). It unfortunately did not fix the intermittent squeeling. It did need to be changed though, old one's bearing was a bit rough. I figured i'd start by changing the $17 pulley before moving on to more expensive options. I read online that the tensioner/idler (it's a weird one piece thing on the 2.4l) for the timing belt is notorious for going out. I DO NOT want to fudge with that timing belt again. Last time was a total PITA, would have been easier to pull the engine.

the supplements will almost always have a scoop in the container, and they're all usually a different size, my n-large2 scoop is huge compared to my no-xplod. btw if you didn't have a scoop in your n-large2, just dig around, mine was buried in the main bottom.
  6. That is exactly what "Mega Heavy Bass" has done, except using 15" Mags. Escort hatch, wall, big numbers at 20 Hz It's in the SI forum if you look around. Maybe that is why platnum was confused his numbers at 10hz is what impressed me, something like 143 IIRC.

what kind of sub and power? I'd set the subsonic for about 27 but you're more worried about the mechanical limits of the sub, not whether or not you can hear that tone. I'd probably burp the sub at the loudest you'll be listening to, if the 27hz tone is moving the sub to where you're afraid it could bottom out, turn the subsonic up a little. For normal music listening you could probably run without one altogether so long as you aren't maxing the gains. for how high you want the sub to play, that depends on your frontstage but i definately wouldn't play any higher than 80hz. I hate having to play up to 63 personally.
  8. I haven't heard of anyone buying the rights to the technology, so even though they may be closing their doors i'm sure they will still be offering the technology to other OEM companies. Who doesn't like residual income?
  9. no way to tell unless you build both and test them. Just because two sound waves hit each other doesn't mean they'll cancel each other out.
  10. in regard to Adire and the XBL^2 technology. They could have 5000 OEM speakers that all use it but there's a confidentiality thing there. Adire can't release any of the names and the companies don't have to admit they're using their technology in the motors.
  11. I've heard you talking about doing that before, but in a car environment wouldn't the clay melt and drip off?

strip off the right length and make sure the set screw is in tight. If the wire is seeing stress that's pulling it out then you need to fix your wiring.
