Welcome to the IHoP
there was a thing on the radio where they were convincing a girl who had just taken her vehicle in to a garage that they had to install a transmission because hers didn't have one. I feel bad for people like that.

that muffler bearing looks WAY too big for that muffler, obviously why it failed.

i have applied to another half dozen jobs, two of which would be really great jobs, plenty of money, but one would require me to relocate further east in VA.

Welcome to the IHoP
i need to sell some shit. My saved money is going out the door very quickly with no job. I think i'll give it one more month, if i don't have a job by then it's time to start looking for a place to move

i think i wanna buy a hand gun
I"d look over the smiths really well before buying. I've heard and seen a couple examples of really really poor guns making it out the door. My roommate bought one about 8months ago and it is simply not made well. The kind of quality you'd expect from a gun half its price. i'll always stand behind springfield. they have excellent customer service from everyone i've ever heard about. The only thing is they wouldn't fix my gun for free when it was throwing shells back in my damn face, but i had already had a gunsmith work on it twice at that point (other things) so i don't blame that on them at all. The taurus 1911 is supposed to be a damn fine gun but i've heard of a LOT of people that have problems with the ambi safety breaking because it's not installed completely when they get it. of course not really an issue considering what you get for the price of the gun and how cheap an ambi safety can be had for.

her bul gogi is always better but i'm always afraid of putting too much sugar in the marinade.
-
Welcome to the IHoP
just made up some marinade for bul gogi, had to wing it because the minge is in class. Hope the americanized version is up to her standards.

Welcome to the IHoP
no fight last night, i went in and grabbed her out, we went out got some fast food and went to see sex and the city. she was beyond livid and needed something to take her mind off it. today she got an e-mail from one of the roomie's bf with an excel file breaking down rents, the one that they're pushing for puts her paying about 200 more than the person in the small room...LOL
-
Welcome to the IHoP
i see where they're coming from, and i was on their side until i learned that they had an agreement way before they signed the lease, and that minji specifically stated that she did no want a huge difference in rent (when searching for a place).
-
Welcome to the IHoP
if i was her i'd tell them i wanted out of the lease and expect them to pay for me to get out since THEY want to change the terms
-
Welcome to the IHoP
just from what i'm hearing they REALLY want her to move out of the biggest room, the hormonal bitch wants it
-
Welcome to the IHoP
oh yea it's getting good. a little back story while they simmer. three girls moving in to a place next year, minji asked for a place where the rent difference wouldn't be much, but they chose a place where the rooms are drastically different in size. now they're hot happy with paying close to the same rent, they want minji to pay basically twice the rent of the lowest room (where before they had agreed on a $20 difference) or for her to take the smallest room. They are figuring it up by square footage and that's cool if they hadn't agreed on something already, because they've already signed the lease for this place and now they want her to change.

Welcome to the IHoP
damn, that was quicker than i expected. It's already starting to escalate
-
Welcome to the IHoP
i forsee a HUGE fight coming. Not with me involved, but between the korean and her roomies. that's why i'm here. they're discussing rent again because they aren't happy with the way it was going to be, they've already signed the lease.

Welcome to the IHoP
Nice to have, but it isn't really all that often that I need one. Curious as to what you use yours for? I also agree that I don't like serrated knives either Matt, but there are many times that it is the right tool for the job and should be used. Things that are partially frozen are much better "sawed", hard vegetables like squash are easier and safer to cut with a serrated knife, delicate things as well for instance a really ripe tomato or piece of fresh bread. bah even with really ripe tomatoes, if my knife can't cut it then i figure i haven't sharpened it well enough. I just hate sawing through any damn thing but i guess partially frozen foods would benefit from it.

$300 can get you there. 150 chef 80 boning 30 pairing 30 serrated buy a bread knife later --if you are stuck on matched sets though this won't work i love that breakdown, though i'm not sure i'd even buy a serrated, to this day i still hate the damn things. The chef knife and boning knives are the two i really want though i really like the slicer in the C set as well. I have a decent knife similar to the slicer and use it more than probably all my other knives combined though I'm not sure if the slicer is too long or not. bah seems like i really need to go somewhere that will let me play with all their knifes. I'll never find that around here.
-
Welcome to the IHoP
well the full set is like $500 but includes all kinds of knives i don't need and would never use. the set i was going to make was going to be just under $300 i'd like to stay at $300 or less but could go up a little more. This will of course be once i get a damn job, but this is one of those things i've always wanted but never had the setting to spend the money on it (refuse to buy nice knives when i have roommates)

Anyone use their E8s as midbass
this is where my E8s may end up, my system will probably be 3-way all frontstage so i'm going to have to have a lot of low end coming out of my doors. we'll see how the E8s perform, hopefully they'll be installed within the next 1-2 years.

Welcome to the IHoP
sean, i need recommendations for kitchen knives. I love the look of damascus but is it a good steel for kitchen knives? what brands should i look at? i was looking at the Calphalon Katana series but it's mainstream and i'm sure there's something i don't know of that's far superior and hopefully not too much more expensive?
