So I have been browsing around for some decent amps to push 4 18" BTL's and cant make up my mind. Does anyone know if the Soundstream XXX-6500D amp is any good???

If you have the electrical for it, it would be a very potent amp for the BTL's.

What specific configuration are you going for on the BTL?

Keep in mind the amp almost pulls 800a of current. Have you thought about what you might do with the electrical?

Yeah. I will be getting a 300 amp alt, maybe a second shortly after. Big 3 upgrade, and about 6 Kinetic 2400 batteries.

how many 6500s were you going to use? They're beastly looking amps.

Moving to amp section. :)

uhhhh holy crap those are gonna need a lot of juice.

maybe you should get the second alt right away instead of later lol.

Amps will need 16volts for full potential. They draw quite a bit of amps so a large alt will definately be needed.

We had an astro at yesterdays show. During the second run, the van shut down. The amp was at .5ohm (if I remember right) and running on a 12volt electrical system with 10 batteries backing it up. Amp went into protect due to not having enough juice to keep it powered. Thought the amp was fried at first, thank god it wasn't.
