August 4, 200718 yr same here man, i just dont get it different programs give u different porth length, hopefully scott or somebody that knows this can help us.
August 4, 200718 yr Well, I've had the same experience with everything I've ever used.I decided math must prevail over those calculators. Someone (can't remember who, but thanks) recommended this site:http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=165Try punching in the values and do it on paper, see what you get. Good luck, let us know if you do the math how it turns out.
August 8, 200718 yr Length would depend on if its a free standing port, or using 1 or more sides of the enclosure. If for some reason the 6X10 port uses 3 sides of the enclosure, then about 29" would be correct. If its free standing then 32 and change would be. Im not sure if some of these programs take end correction into account or not... WinISD seems OK for most of its recommendations and I tweak from there slightly depending on port orientation.
