Posted September 1, 200718 yr Well i have recently sold off everything out of my daily driver to fund a new build in a different car. I also am working on a budget install in my daily driver to replace everything that has been removed and sold off. Im looking for a pair of clean sounding 6.5" componets w/ some nice out put for under 200 bucks shipped. Power will be coming from a 100.2 passive until the 50.4 comes out then they will be active. ThanksCorey

September 3, 200718 yr diy ftw?vifa xt25 tweets, and some peerless mids should flip the bill....but i saw ur going passive first....... sooooooo id say the pioneers and peerless definitions mentioned are great.if u bump budget to 250ish....then contact 6spdcoupe on diymobileaudio.com, caraudio.com/vb/ forums for some rainbow slc components.Mike-
September 3, 200718 yr I'd do DIY from the get go.A pair of CA18RNX's can be run full range until you get an amp to go active with. Getting a robust tweeter than can use a simple 6db passive temporarily would be fine as well. For ease of crossover/installation I'd pair it up with the Peerless HDS. You are at your budget and will have an unbelievable nice set of components when you finally upgrade to active. Until then it will still sound better than any $200 component set anyways.
September 3, 200718 yr I've always stood by Diamond Audio for my high end. The d6 line is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. You can find them on ebay for around 200.
