1 15" Q + Sundown 1500D = OK?

I just picked up a sundown 1500D and now looking for a good sub to mate. Have my eyes on a 15" Q. Do you guys think I need the BP power option?

Chances are i will set the gain to about 1200w anyways, b/c, I currently have 4 awg power. If i absolutely need to upgrade to 2 or even 1/0, i will. (I will be running a SAX 100.2 as well).

I would just to be on the safe side.

I have 2000 watts on a Q12 and it gets hot very fast when I go full blast. I always have to be careful with it...I'd get the BP option for peace of mind.
