I am using a Dual 1 Ohm Fi Q that I want to wire up to a 2 Ohm load so I can have 1200 watts available, bridging two minilith.

So I would wire in series.

amp + to sub +

amp - to sub -

sub + to sub -

However I am looking at the manual and it shows the two amps bridged and the picture show the negative terminals are to only connect to each other with the positives terminals going to the amp.

amp + to sub

amp - to slave amp - (interconnect ground)

slave amp + to sub

So how am I supposed to wire this? Am I to assume that since it is bridged, that the slave amp + is now the - and hook it up that way?

Thanks for the help!

You aren't trying to bridge.. you are trying to strap them.

Follow the instructions in the manual.

That does not look right. you need to hook amp- to amp- then you use only the positives from each amp and connect the master amp + to speaker1 + then slave amp- to sub2- before you hook up the subs to the amps ensure you have the right impedance on the subs. I am not super familiar with your subs if they are under 2 ohms I do not think I would run it that way. you could always hook up one amp to each voice coil but they would have to be matched with output by using a dmm. Have a great day. Z

Yeah dude that is some tricky stuff........and you would be strapping.........the two not bridging. I would reccomend you run a amp per voice coil. Don't know if the mini's will like that basically 1/2 ohm load dude........the amp is going too only see half. I tried the same set up on a dual 2 ohm VC IDMAX..........and it played but i don't think it really like it.....make sure you have really good grounds and sufficient grounds.

I think you mis-read what he said. He is wiring the amps to a 2 ohm load so the amps will be ok since they are 1 ohm stable. weren't you trying to seel your mini's recently? did you give up on selling them? have an awesome night. Z

My minis run fine strapped to 2 ohms. Use some beefy wire on the - to - connection.

Minis DO NOT like strapping to < 2 ohms or <1 ohm on their own.
