Posted October 23, 200717 yr Well I am going too try my luck in Meca when the next season starts in their amateur street class. I am going to do AS1 or AS2 not sure yet, and I just joined up with Team Apocalypse. The equipment being used is one 15" AudioQue HD3 and a Sundown 1500D or 3000D depending on which class I am in. I am just playing around for now with fuses but here is a vid of my HD3 in a 32hz box and one 1500D. What ever class I am in is looking promising right now.Sundown FTMFW Edited October 23, 200717 yr by AlpineAndy
October 23, 200717 yr nice flex man! i will be doing meca also next season...probably is S1....from what i have hear with the fuses, go with some agu fuses. get some small amperage ones. like if u are limited to 50amps say, do 10 5amp fuses...i hear its best to spread the current across as many fuses as you can...any idea on what ur hitting right now?
October 23, 200717 yr Author yea right now I am useing five 10 amp agu fuses. I am doing a 143.6 at the head rest with that box on a burp, I have to pull my number with music in amateur street though. After I get done trying different fuses I am going to build a box tuned a little bit higher(~43hz) and then seal the trunk off.
October 23, 200717 yr yea, seal the trunk off for sure, that helps with scores in 98% of trunkers, thats how mine is right now...im in the low to mid 140s right now, but that was at 40hz with poo for fuses...hopefully i can get into the mid to upper 140s after i tune it higher and get my fusing situation worked out.
October 26, 200717 yr hey good luck next year man. meca is a great organization. you will probably compete against a few of my friends next year so im sure i will c u around.
October 27, 200717 yr Good luck hope to see you at a show. I have a couple of guys planning on being in AS2 and AS3 next year. Both using Sundown amps.
