my right front speaker went silent. Channel one front tweeter still worked so I swtiched speaker two to channel one n it played. I then put speaker one into channel two n it was also silent. All I so far.. Can the channel just be bad?

Can you swap a RCA as well to make sure that the amp is getting a signal in to that channel?

I'll second the RCA's as well. You haven't checked the signal line yet to be sure the amp is even getting anything.

I just was about to check the RCA's - i turned the system on and both tweeters started to work again. This has happened twice now. That channel 2 goes on and off. Didn't touch any settings just turned the car off and left it and came back to it.

Im starting to think that. Is 14 gauge a good size for speaker wire? I want to replace the factory wires

14 gauge is a little heavy. Unless thats what you already have, I'd go with 16awg.

change the left channel speaker wires to the right side and see if it cuts off the same, then you know if its a wire or the amp.... left to the right right to the left,

i already did that tho. Says in my first post. At first the Right speaker would play Channel 1 and the Left speaker would not play on channel 2. After i got back in my car channel 2 came back.

im sorry your right, too much bud buddy. get a volt meter and check your rca's i cant wait to get a 100.4

ya thats what mine was doin when I sent mine back. tho when I would wiggle the rcas Id get sound but what was really happening is when Id do that Id also be moving a bit too and reconect the wires I had spliced together

Speaker went out again tonight. Now this was the orginial channel 1 tweeter that went out that is now on channel two. I switched around the rca's and neither tweeter worked with channel two, so i figure its the RCA connection for channel two to the headunit. I am using the rockford fosgate 4 channel rca's.
