Posted January 21, 200817 yr I have an amplifier that is rated 400 watts RMS @ 2ohms.I also have a 1.8 cu ft vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz.Is this a good match for a 12" RL-p or would I need more power? I saw that this sub is rated between 500-1000wrms.Thanks
January 21, 200817 yr I ran 600w to my rlp-12 in a sealed box and it was plenty. I'd think 400w in a ported setup would do good. Edited January 21, 200817 yr by duece212
January 21, 200817 yr Author thanks guys how reliable is winISD?I was graphing this sub and it does well in the 30-40 hz range, but above that it drops (with my setup).my other options:JL 12W3JL 12W6Kicker CVXI want low bass with authority. Especially in the 30-50 hz region. But I want it to sound good as well.
January 21, 200817 yr As far as some people say, winisd isn't reliable. And it's even worse with the rl-p.http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=13705I would follow Mike's or other user's recomendations
January 22, 200817 yr yeah, winisd is weird for the RL-P. 1.8 at 30 is a great enclosure. I have had mine at 1.6 low 30's, and 2.0 at 28, and both sounded great.
