January 27, 200817 yr Wow, from a big ole American (Mexican/Canadian) truck, to a German car. Hmm. . Couldn't say I expected this of you Kent. Looks like a pretty fun toy though.
January 27, 200817 yr The word cute comes to mind. Although, I will admit, they are fairly run to rip around in.You did swing a pretty sweet deal with the Silverado trade and payoff though
January 27, 200817 yr friggen awesome, I'm not going to lie I would love to drive one of those around.
January 27, 200817 yr Author ryan, from what i gather, BMW just owns MINI. they are still built in england. of course, there is a BMW tag under da hood, lol.steve, the trade was sweet. if they only knew, lol. they will have to sink a little money in that truck to make it presentable.MK..it's a friggin blast to drive around, lol. the supercharger and exhaust note definitely have a presence.john, ummmmm no. lol. while that would be trippin, no will do. but i am debating some kind of upgrade. the ipod interface is cool as hell. recharges the ipod and you control it through the radio/steering wheel. the rear panels need deadened, STAT! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
January 27, 200817 yr heh, I was totally kidding. You should know how I detest hardcore SPL. I was more throwing out a joke because someone else on this board happens to be walling his mini for giant lulz.
January 27, 200817 yr Author heh, I was totally kidding. You should know how I detest hardcore SPL. January 27, 200817 yr Author Sweet! Are you still at home? Your weather and ours are WAY different.yep. supposed to hit 50 today. currently 29...everything still on for june 8-15?wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
January 27, 200817 yr I'd be tempted to just do an 8" or two and keep it real basic with a single amp.
January 27, 200817 yr Author What are the stock speaker sizes up front?lol, no clue....look to be 5.25 or 6.5..but i can't go by grill size as the tweeter would then be about two inches...steve, part of me wants to..but then i think i'm hearing the tale tell signs of blown speakers. i don't know, lol.what i do know is the car is comfortable on short-medium trips. we went to paducah, ky today, roughly an hour away and that car is just plain relaxing. no effort what so ever. btw, while there a lambo rolled by. i got next to it at the stop light and tried to goad the guy into a race, lol. coward backed out at the line, then i rolled on him at 30mph!! (don't think he really tried, but you could hear him motoring up for a bit) yeah boy!! i know my dick is large when i can challange a lambo in a mini cooper s and he backs down bitches!!!!!! lmaowheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
January 30, 200817 yr Author the paint is what definitely makes it pop. we looked at a black 05 s ragtop with the white bonnet stripes and standard wheels, and it's no where near as good looking as this car. the wheels and paint go very well together and give the car an "upscale" appearance.loving it so far as well. can't get teh wife out of it, lol.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
January 30, 200817 yr Author also, any of you car care nuts....what is needed to maintain the top? as in cleaning it? any special products needed or recommended?wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
January 30, 200817 yr Admin I have never owned a rag top, but I think there are cleaners and maybe some sort of protector.
January 31, 200817 yr Author I have never owned a rag top, but I think there are cleaners and maybe some sort of protector.yeah, but i don't want to buy crap. i don't have a clue which is the best, and this is my first drop top as well, lol.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
January 31, 200817 yr My brother uses a Meguiars top cleaner on his car. I don't know the exact name of it, but it does a great job on his. Actually, any time of interior cleaner should work just as well. As long as it can lift the dirt from the pores it should work fine. Just make sure you don't wax it.
January 31, 200817 yr Generically speaking if Meguiars made something I'd expect it to be good. 3M typically as well.
