Since I am paying my mom back for my car, she got the final say on which to get. I got a Mazda 6 Hatch in the gun metallic color. I will have to do some custom work soon to get a new HU in. It will cost me some cash to get a replacement deck area but it is worth it B) I will have some pics posted but not much since all i have is the car which i will have by tomorrow(they didn't have the color so they are dragging one over here)

man wt those new cars y even take out the stock hu?

i thought hey were good

ok i know they aight, but unless u buyin an exspensive one y even bother.

First look, I'll post some interior pix later, let me know what you think and some ideas.

awesome car...i wouldn't touch the exterior any!! that's a mean looking 4 dr! :o:+1:

definitely do some 'glass in dat trunk area......i see a pair of 12's (soundsplinter of course..hehe)(mtx maybe, the cone color kinda matches ur car) vented......some hifonics amperage (again, thinking of color), maybe memphis (color and power) and several sets of ear plugs :+1:

btw, congrats on the new ride..

Yup a hatchback. I luv how it doesn't look like a hatch. Thanks for all the compliments guys

Jamie, we're gonna definitely be fiberglassin. As for new stuff, i will only be doing the subs right now as I am gonna be fairly poor while i am paying it off; i will add some processors later probably. I will stick with my RE35.1D since going to the Hifonics Brutus would be like downgrading from 1600 to 1500 watts. My old 15" Brahma Mk.1 is going to my home theater setup.

I'm lucky i live at home otherwise i wouldn't be able to do anything  The dash is somewhat integrated and no kit is made for it so i will need to glass the area to fit my HU and maybe leave an opening for a half-din eq and/or crossover

get the brutus 1800..hehe..

or the colussos<--spell? u know which one i mean..hehe

but for real...u already have a great amp....get a sound splinter rl-p 15..hehe......2ft^3 sealed..yeah..hehe

Tinting is on my list of things to do too. Damn this is gonna cost me

  • Author

haven't gotten an estimate yet. I will probably ask for an estimate when i'm ready to purchase. Tint itself is still fairly cheap on it's own from what i hear. How much is it up there on average?

:slayer: like the shape of that dash, i just really looked at a dsh for a n rx8 the other day..

kinda reminds me of what ford did in the taurus....

give peripheral some time...they'll have a harness made that will all the retention of the factory crap playin thru the audio...it's almost gm like, with the onstar, factory info system and door dinger ll playing thru the speakers and run thru the radio...i paid $80(retails for $100) for a harness to plug my alpine in..i imagine ur's will be up there too....

the reason why? i was told by a chevy service manager friend of mine that it's due to the fact they are trying to make the wiring simple....ie: less plugs and connections. so everything has to do more then one job......don't ya love how they are trying to make technology "simple"?

anyway..good luck with ur dash george...it's all downhill from there!

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
