Posted June 10, 200817 yr Hello, i'm from las vegas and new to this forum. i'm fairly new to the whole car stereo stuff. by fairly i've not really got all the way in untill i got my SSA ICONs. i had a pair of Audiobahn AW 1251T. with a BOSS PD4000w amp, it didnt sound bad. i'm still surprised that i got that much sound of of them, Sold them then i UPGRADED to a pair of Fi's. not sure what kind i had but then i got a pair of SSA ICONs. at first i used a single Pheniox Gold Ryval 1000watt amp. it was clean. but then i decided to go with 2 of those amps bridged to get max power. so right now i'm sitting on a sealed box with 2 SSA ICON 12's powered by 2 Phoenix Gold v1502. and all this is sitting in a mid sized car. i'm looking at building a ported box and adding another v1502 powering 2 10inch RE's. trying to get the most info i can about tuning, box building, alternators, batteries, electrical systems i guess, as well as anything else that would make me wiser in car audio.ALSO how deep are the SSA ICON 12's? June 11, 200817 yr It would be really dumb to run 2 12" Icons and 2 10" RE's at the same time. Really dumb.

In other words, it would sound like crap. Subs would be muddy and could even be quieter.
June 12, 200817 yr Admin Welcome to SSA, thank you for grabbing a pair of Icons, nice choice. As said above, two different sized drivers playing the same frequencies can cause adverse effects.
