dude learn to pucking type or gtfo

k guys help a newbie out. ideal would be since you want 2 amps for some reason. 2x1000 sundowns. maybe around 4 cubes after displacement for both. tuned to anywhere from 31-34 hz. and as for helping you out on how to design a box. make a new thread titled '' need box design for 2 12s, got cash'' lmfao its hard to just explain how to design a box.

If you're going with two amp, go with separate enclosures for the two subs. You'll get better results. Build two of the recommended boxes. If you don't understand how you tune a sub, you probably will be better off with a sealed box until you learn about tuning more.

Which Q's did you get? DVC1 or DVC2? That depends a lot on what amp to recommend you.

As far as boxes go, make yours 4.4^3ft (internal) tuned to 33hz.

Use one amp. It'll make things a lot simpler for you, especially since you're a self professed noob.

Kinda funny that you specifically type "don't answer if you don't know wtf you are talking about" in your subject line yet you don't know wtf you are talking about in your post. Less swearing would be nice, you don't need that much emphasis here. Tune to 32 hz. There are a few port calculators around to let you know how long to make the port given the area of the port and size of the box. Try and fine one. Oh, and btw, you don't tune the subs, you tune the box.

I actualy thought this might have been Jim, playing a practical joke of some kind, when I read the first post.

I think you should sell me your Qs and put a dead dog in your trunk. I'll have a nice pair of subs and people will be like WTF IN YO TRUNK MAN!

Audiophiles hate subwoofers....what you need are brilliant pebbles.....place them in certain areas in your car.....you'll need a tice clock as well.....

My first question (seeing how everyone covered the obvious!) is: Have you ever built a box? if not then I would read all post's you find about proper construction and most of them will cover tuning if there ported. Other then that what everyone said is right on!
