odd wood for a box imo.

Birch is just as good as MDF, maybe better imo! It's lighter and doesn't create all that dust when you cut it. Does splinter though, but nothing some sanding can't take care of!! :neil:

IMO those are the sexiest subs out there! Nice job on the box too. Please give a review on how they sound.

Haven't played it yet. Gotta do some system tuning also. Box turned out a little lighter than I wanted, so I'm going to darken the paint and repaint it. Not Today though!!!

Looks good, keep update, maybe some video's after tuning? :)

Oh yeah and a review of the product!

what made u switch from Fi to AA? Had to ask

That looks like standard Birch Plywood. Works great (I have used it on multiple boxes), but to really be as good as MDF, I think you need the 11 or 13 layer void free Birch plywood.

Yeap, I agree!! Most of the box is 7 layer birch except the back piece which is 13 layer. The 7 layer was free to me, that's why I used it!! :neil: If I had bought it I would have got the 13 layer.

Looks!! Wish I hadn't sold my Q's though!!! But these should sound as good, or even better!!!

I could not tell from the pictures. . .It looked like it was just the standard 5 layer birch. . .

BTW - Box looks awesome!
