Posted July 16, 200817 yr i guess should post here.i want something LOUD and i want a ported box. im not really concerened too much about sound quality as much as just solid pounding bass. i wanna run at least 1500-2000w rms to both of them. i aint cheap so let me know what some options may be...and if this is too vague tell me and ill try and elaborate more.i was going to go with 2 mtx 9512's...but for the price, they dont seem worth it to me...im sure theres better out there for much cheaper.lemme know...thanks Edited July 16, 200817 yr by ChiTownTBird312
July 16, 200817 yr I have a BL10 for sale. And I live in the Chicago area so I can give it to you for a good price. All you'll have to do is buy another dual-1 BL10 and you can run them at 1-ohm.

July 16, 200817 yr Then check out the 12'' version of the BL, they'll get loud off that power no problem.
July 17, 200817 yr 2000 apiece or individually? The BTL would be the best option from FI for you because of it's highest efficiency. Can also look at sundown nightshades, mach 5 SPL.....

July 17, 200817 yr well assuming your gonna run a beefy electrical system first and foremost, Ie 250-300A alt, second or even third batt., ect....yeah, two btl's will rock of of 2k a piece. I'd look hard at the Nightshades though, they have been putting up some impressive numbers... or even some Incriminator Audio Death Penalty's...either way.... stay away from MTX, RF, JL... ect. you can do way better here.

July 17, 200817 yr Admin Don't worry so much about a certain wattage figure. If you are not competiting, then sheer power is not really all that important, and a few hundred extra watts is not going to make all that much difference to the ear anyway. If you want 12's that are designed for high output, there are a number of great choices here:Incriminator Audio DP 12"Fi Car Audio BL 12"Ascendant Audio Havoc 12"Mach5 SPL-12Now they all have slightly differing rms levels, price, and marketing direction, but all will play very well with 1000+ watts on them. I am not an expert all the drivers, but I have plenty of time with the SPL-12 and BL. Both are very good choices, very high quality build, but are in slightly different classes. The DP 12 is pretty new to market and a number of people like them so far. All are available online. The most important thing before considering all of this, is your electrical system. It would be foolish to spend all this money on high power equipment and not have the current to supply it with. Heck, you would probably be happy with a single Sundown 1500D and a pair of BL's in a large ported box. That will be way more then loud enough to show off to people if that is your intention. Also please consider some sound deadening.

July 18, 200817 yr common chamber is suitable seeing as the differences in the drivers will blend together....
July 18, 200817 yr dual chamber....how bout a horn loaded design...? for a few bucks, they can be designed for you... very happy with mine. And, as demin said. dont get too caught up in the #'s game... anything listed above will most certainly make you go deaf in a very short period of time...
