July 25, 200817 yr Depends on your goals, likes, skill level, and ultimately, budget.Just having better drivers doesn't mean it will sound better. You will hear a common phrase used; "it's all in the install." Heed this information as it can make or break your entire system.
July 25, 200817 yr Admin To me, it is always worth it. Heck, even if you get just a small 40x2 amplifier, and some passive components from a major name (Cadence or Kicker for example) and do just a little sound deadening on the door while you have the door panel off to install the new speakers, the difference would be pretty solid.
