I have 2 10's that handle 8000 rms burps a peice and need major powwer for burping only and i dont have much room the 1500d's wqill fit perfect I have 5 batteries and a 160 amp altternator i will be running these amps at this ohm load for competing only then return them too 2 ohms strapped for daily use i know it will void my warranty but can these amps do it

I ran a pair of 1500D's strapped....on a Quad 1 ohm...Soundstream SPL-X...wired sub to 1...each amp seeing 0.5 ohm before impedance rise...and I ran it daily...yes it does void warranty....yes you shouldn't do it...but do the amps handle it? Yes... :neil:

so do you think i could run them daily at a 1/2 ohm strapped or just for burping

what about just for burping

what about just for burping

your seriously risking the amps they may not play or you might have to roll the volume

At .25ohm they start to get protection happy. Definately don't do it daily & I wouldn't even do it for burps.

It has been done - but I don't suggest it for anyone but very experienced SPL competitors that know the risks.

Sweet. Might have some more SAZ-1500D's to refurbish!

Just Kidding. LOL.

I wouldn't strap them at .5... too low, need good voltage to them, lots of current, very short burp etc etc... They would probably do it for a while though no warranty, so if you break them, you gotta pay for repairs on them.
