what ohm load is it safe to burp (2) SAZ3000D's strapped w/ a Maxxlink? Right now, resting load is .8ohms - we have (6) 16V batteries that rest @ 17.4 and are @ 20.8 when fully charged. Would the amps go into protection? Thanks...

I don't suggest running over 18 volts... but if you must do so you can talk to Robert Wyatt on Team Sundown about his experiences as he is the only one to have done it.

Don't go over 18v. Most comps don't allow it anyway. Jack them amps down to .35ohm and watch your score soar!

I run my amp's at 19v plus at 1 ohm and ran them in comp last weekend at 20.9... While I was demoing the truck at the show I was around the 19 to 19.6 range.... The class I run is unlimited volts. If the amp's could take 24 than I would be doing 24 volts. I only run it for a 30seconds pass. Really not a good idea to run at that high of voltage. I don't think that I will be running them at that high of a voltage. Due to demoing the truck. If something gives loose like batt's blown-up or amps I don't want anybody to get hurt. So the voltage will be turned down to safe working load. I don't think that Jacob will warranty the amps at that ohm load (.35ohms)? Not sure check with Jacob. I know I want warranty anything below 1 ohm weather it be customer or competator.

I would not advise people to run over 18v. Glad you have had success with it though. And yes running at .99 or below will technically ruin your warrenty. But competing with the amp I would think would do the same thing.

well, hooked everything up - and one amp goes into protection just as the other one is "fully" powering up--before any audio signal is even sent....any thoughts? BTW this is with voltage @ 18.9

everything was turned all the way down @ first. I unhooked the "y-splitter" Maxxlink showed for the inputs, the amps are able to "fully" power up and play at a lower volume. As I take the volume up, the subs start to "flutter" and one of the amps goes into protection--not always the same amp. I've heard good things about these Maxxlink, but I'm not having good luck so far....

I'm having trouble with my Maxx-Link also. Everything is fine without it but when its installed my subs go haywire.

They can be tricky to set up.

Right - sometimes if the remote isn't the same voltage you may have a problem with protection.
