I decided to go with 2 sets of CDT components. If i decide to run them active, can i run all 4 tweeters off channels 1 and 2, then run all 4 mids off channels 3 and 4? This should be 2 ohms all channels? thanks

all channels have independt level adjustment as well as independent crossovers for 1&2 and 3&4....so it will work.

But most people that run active don't use multiple sets of componets up front like that...would be easier to just run passive IMO

It will work perfectly fine. The only downside will be that, if you are running one set in the front of the vehicle and one set in the back, you won't have any fader control, you'll be stuck with it the way it is.

If you go active, pay close attention to the crossover you choose. Don't accidently cross over the tweeters at 300 Hz instead of 3Khz and smoke them in 5 minutes.... Do your homework and make sure you know what you slopes and frequencies are.
