but as for the rest i really like what your going for.

i like subs that handle alot of power, but can still have a nice broad range.

kind of like 2400rms on a single eclipse sw9122, it is a thing of beauty.

i was almost about to perform a sin in my book and buy a 13av.2 to give a try.

but i am defiantly going to wait this one out instead.

How does this stack up to the Icon, more SPL less SQ is my assumption, but I don't really know. It is awesome looking and unlike others I like the dustcap, should be an absolute beast.

Maybe there getting ready for a new basket? I hope so.

As I see the proto 8 is getting a new one, why not this one?

I think they should, get some new stuff in the market, I mean, the Icon has been making a huge name for itself, now get a new, innovative sub that dominates and they will have one of the best line ups there is.

True, if they can do what they want SPL, SQ and excursion wise with a 12 spoke keep it versus raising the price for a different basket. I would like to see a XXX type 50mm+ Xmax sub from SSA

well considering that you are getting something that is really one of very few that can do what it does.

it share very little technology from other subs with tons of R and D.

i don't think the price is bad.

if you pay msrp then yes it is crazy.

but all you have to do is find a dealer on a forum, take about 6 months or so to become good friends.

and then you can pick up a 15 for 1000 to 800 bucks.

and that is a good deal when you look at what it is.

This is a little offtopic so excuse me, but I believe that the 12" XXX in 06 direct was around 650 bucks. Now thats what I call a pretty good deal for the sub.

That dustcap is just for the prototype for right now. Appearance is rough because it is a prototype.

Tooling new baskets are very expensive. At the moment the basket this prototype is using is fine for what we need.

This driver is not in the same segment as the very expensive RE-XXX.

Tooling new baskets are very expensive. At the moment the basket this prototype is using is fine for what we need.

I figured that. But if that basket works, then theres no need to "waste" money on another one.
