Hi purchased this sundown 1500d and i am needing a lil help with this amp setup. I need to know the difference btw the bass boost and the gain. I am using a stock hu using a david navone loc. Fist of all can this amp take more then 6 volts input voltage? 2nd how should i adjust the bass boost with the gain? I am not doing it right i only can tune by ear and it seems i keep clipping the amp because when i play a song when it hits a low note on the song it bottoms out on the sub pops ect. i turn it down problem goes away. How should i be adjust the gain/bass boost?

No bass boost.

Also, if the sub goes "pop" back off the gains and properly setup your subsonic filter.

What subs are you using and also box specs would be nice.

Ok i will fix this by turning off bass boost now and then I am running jbl gti's 2 of them at a 1.5 ohm load.

Whats the purpose of having the bassboost if not to use it then on a mono amp?

Box specs are.

exactly how should i set up the subsonic filter?

Most users do not need to use the bass boost, although, some people may desire it to fit their needs it can easily clip the amp and hurt your woofer if used without caution.

Set the subsonic to 1/3 octave under the port tuning.

ok well i have had the subs there brand new and have had them powered with the bass boost up all the way i believe only for one week now should my subs be ok? I will be going to fix all of this now but will my subs be ok?

If the subs are still working then, yes, they are fine.

I suggest turning the boost all the way down, or at least almost all the way down and using the gain to adjust the level of output.

Set the LPF about half way up and the subsonic around 1/4 - 1/3 turn up (whatever sounds best).

yes turn that bass boost off Ive been after Jacob to just remove it alltogether
