I've decided on a 1500d.

im just torn between AA Havoc and Fi Q now... reports say havoc is the better and will work out better for money as im in the UK?

Q shipping here cost a bomb... and worse if i get it broke lol

also torn between 12 and 15" yes i'm more heading towards 12" though ill be happy with that

just looking for the dimensions mate

Shipping should be the same since you are in the UK. You have to order from bladeice.com. There's a 40 pound difference in price.

If it helps, a Fi Q 15 with no BP power, on a SAE-1000D is most likely going to be louder than a Fi Q 12 with BP power, on a 1500D...

i know im a noob but a 15" will still produce 1000 watt rms on 1000D

surely? a Q12" with bp power produce more power on 1500

Don't worry too much about power, a Stock Q with 1kw will get loud. A Q with BP and 1kw will get loud, but leaves you with option to upgrade to more power later.

Comes down to how much room you have with regards to 12 Vs 15

could you tell me if the Fi Q sub will still hit the low 30's? and be able to have some volume to? as you cant tune a sealed box only use its size to change sound.

if i built my own box out of mdf sealed it all with silicone, would it need some kind of insulation on the inside?

If you are planning on 1.5 cuft for a Fi Q12, then no you don't need any polyfill.

ahh ok so for a 1 cuft i would need it. there much diff in sound in between that .5 cuft?

Be a little deeper and handle the lows a little better. So yes. There will be the benefits in .5 cuft

FWIW. If its a streetbass setup go ported. Qs sealed do get plenty loud, ported they are just naughty

but needs to be loud and good SQ, wouldnt mind if people would turn around and go, wow he's got a good system (Must be Fi 8])
