i need help re doing all the wiring and re doing the solenoids...

the wiring on the dual alts does not look right to me... making sure that my thoughts and reality are the same!

congratulations on the new venture :)

The guys who build those things are barely a step up from a chop shop. i had a friend in the business a while back and he was telling me the chit was always an electrical nightmare, he'd get brand new cars and send them out and get them back with the idiot lights lit up like an xmas tree. then you get all the people throughout the years of ownership who have their own people do the work and it can be a major PITA to figure out what the hell is going on. might wanna remove as much of the wiring as possible, label what you know and start from scratch, so down the road if you have a problem it'll be much quicker to retrace YOUR work

i would love too! but we need the limos ready to leave within an hour at any time of the day..

its gonna be a real task that no doubt.

Just going to have to hold one back, for repairs. I would rather take some time to fix one, and get the wiring straight. Then to have something go wrong and have the whole thing go into flames.

i know i know i told him the same thing but im a JR. partner... thay are his limos... he paid for them!

if you're lookin for someone to help out with, like doing the dirty work, let me know, i need a side job and i can make the drive out there, and find a place to stay. if not, then best of luck to ya bigjon, should be headed out there in a few weeks after i get my newly acquired sandwich here along with some other knick knacks.

To be honest though man, put your foot down. Tell him to take one off the list. Then rip out everything (make sure to make a log so you know what has to go back in) and start from scratch.

A little pre-planning wouldn't hurt either, so before you hold one back, crawl through them and measure and figur out what you need to buy.

This'll be for the better if you have an uninterrupted time with the car.

As far as the solenoid goes... do you really need one? One of the alts should be dedicated to essential car shit, and the other for anything the limo itself needs. I don't really get why there is even one there if there is a dual alternator setup.

i dont understand why it has a dual alt with no where to put all that curent... only one crappy ass 800 cca duracrap,

the problem is witch to start on... thay are all in need of desprit attention.

the only reason for a solenoid is so that everything in the rear can be powered up with one switch.... so that while no one is back there the drive can cut everything off and on.. when people get in... other wise i would just throw a cell in the rear and do it up... but i have to really think this out... cause there is soooo many wires... i would have to re route everything...
