Posted September 4, 200817 yr Little FYI for those looking for really awesome fiberglass enclosures for, IMO, incredibly cheap prices:http://www.resinating-resin.com/products.htmI have the one that says "Sundown Audio" on it sitting at my shop... paint looks like auto paint - factory level quality. Very high quality enclosures.I know the owner personally, from before he moved back to Michigan.I'm sure he could even do them thicker for high SPL drivers (Nightshades) - although, it may not even be necessary... we'll be testing the box I got from him with Nightshades as soon as we get power wire in my Jeep.
September 4, 200817 yr How on earth does he make them with no wood at all though? Seems like they wouldn't be as strong without it. Could just be me though. They do look pretty good. Edited September 4, 200817 yr by bigbruno

September 8, 200817 yr Looks like they're made in a mold with blown chop. Easy to reproduce, cheap to make after making the mold, comes out perfectly smooth on the side nearest the mold without bondo. Exactly how boats are made. JL used to have a tutorial on their website on how to do this. Gonna guarantee that custom work will cost considerably more because it's gonna take a lot more labor. For prefabs, they do look great.
