Posted September 19, 200816 yr This is for a local guy. Has a Firebird with T Tops, so we were pretty limited to what we could do. He already had a pair of 12" Rockford P1's he wanted to use. We just did a little sealed box, that fit pretty good in the area available. He opted for vinyl on the finish (first time using vinyl for a customer), as well as wanted the Hyperlite logo on it.Here is what we did...
September 19, 200816 yr That turned out very good looking. I really wish I had the skills that you have. 2 thumbs up.
September 20, 200816 yr Author Thanks guys. The vinyl wasnt too bad as far as technique went. Similar to how I carpet, except I made some beauty panels for the sides, and put them on last. I have only vinyled like 2 or 3 boxes, so I havent really perfected a technique yet.Bruno, Id be more than happy to sell you my skills? LOL
September 20, 200816 yr Awesome work once again...I think a pair of 10's would have worked out better for him in only 1.5 cubes though.
September 20, 200816 yr Author Yea I think the 10s would have been a better choice as well. However, he already had the drivers, so we just had to work with what was available. We were still in the range Rockford recommends for the 12's sealed.
September 22, 200816 yr Author Thanks guys. The customer appeared to be very happy with the end result.
September 27, 200816 yr Looking good as alwaysJust wondering, whats with the edging (for lack of a better word) on those two side pieces?
