These are my measurements now...

15hx33dx36w

I was wondering if it is possible to fit the 18" Bl tuned to around 32hz in my trunk. and what would be the best setup, sub firing into cabin, port back?? Need ideas for the enclosure. I am going to run it on a saz-1500d.

I did at one time have a L7 in a 6.0^3 box. It fit just fine. any help is apreciated!

i put the new measurements up, i went out there and measure it out, width between strut towers. height was at the trunk tensioners and depth was just depth... keep in mind i have the trunk lid hinges to clear......

Edited by AJG

should be fine if you can squeeze it through the trunk opening, or build it in the trunk

thats what i was thinking of doing...i just get scared when it means i won't have acess to my spare if ever needed.

so go 18" or 15"

you can pound the crap out of a 15 that actually fits in the box, or have a choked up 18.... choose

15 FOR THE WIN!

''18s and trunks dont mix like 2 dicks.'' as biggie smalls would say if he was a basshead

alright thanks for the help.

what is the most efficent setup for the 15" Bl

I want loud, but not crap sounding. I was thinking maybe 32-33hz.

7.0cu ft?

put the spare behind the front seat or something

An 18 BL would do fine in 7.0 cu ft net...

I'd go with a 15 or a pair of 12s, bigger isn't always better, even a 15 is going to be a PITA to get right in that car. a pair of 12s will have the potential to get louder and it won't take a dodecahedron of a box to get them to fit in your trunk.

it's about the money though.

being a student in high school and workin 18 hrs. a week, plus my flight training really kills my money. so I figure one 15" will be fine for me. The 6.0 cu ft. box fit just fine through my trunk.

and im thinking of putting a 15" bl in 3.0-3.5 ft ported of course. i think im goina get flamed lol

I won't flame either of you, it's not my money, and it's not my car.

but..know this

pear b, that' within specs, but i'd stay on the larger size of your range

AJG, money is money, save up and do it right the first time and you won't be on here in 3 months selling your one sub because it's not bumpin like it should. Do it wrong, get yourself a peaky box with no low end because the sub is starved for space. Sure it'll be a 15 or an 18 but it'll sound like shit and you'll probably try to compensate by throwing your amp into clipping and blowing the sub.

we've seen it before, but you know what your doing so go for it.
