Weddings are entirely overpriced...you'd kill me if I told you how much the flowers are marked up for a typical ceremony/reception, and that's only one part of it

Oh, and invite lots of people. Yeah, it'll cost you more in food, rental space and items, etc ... we made that money back by returning the chitty wedding presents we got (cash gifts were nice too ). The people that were bordline on the invite list wound up getting us some kick ass gifts that we still have.

Instead of getting people to pay for a plate or two + other dishes ... tell them to give you gas cards

Canada Post sucks.

It's been six or seven days and I still haven't received a letter from Ontario. Unbelievable. Town X is 20 minutes from Town Y. Mail a letter from Town X on Monday during a non-peak time, and you're lucky if Town Y gets it Wednesday afternoon. Too much volume for them to handle my ass ... it's not too much volume until you're like USPS who got UPS to ship some of their volume.
