Get a Music Hall, they're way reasonable.

For a belt-drive table, they're one of the best values...

But there's something about a direct drive like the Technics that I like...maybe it's the fact it weighs 30lbs. and is built to survive a nuclear explosion and not knock the tonearm out of alignment :D It's much beefier than most "audiophile" tables.

I bought my first Vinyl the other day, ZZtop for $1, got a few other goodies too. It's sweet walking out of my local music place with 4 albums for under $15 :P

Both places that sold vinyl here in town are closed :(

Direct drive = motor noise! You need super ears, and about $50k in equipment but it's there!

The Technics arm also has a really nice vertical tracking angle adjustment, something that Rega makes you pay $250 for or so on the RB-250 or RB-300 tonearms.
