Without stereo, I'd have a hard time paying over $11k for the car which means we are already up to $4k in additions which is easy to rationalize but perhaps not a whole lot more.

I can see 16, but if the owner thinks this is some 40k special car he is wrong. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have it, but the engine mods don't add value so you are only looking at the stereo gear/installl and a bit of history. I don't think that this history has enough mass appeal to do much though.
