waterpump on the gf's Imp went out today, was spewing coolant all over

wet belt = no traction on power steering pump

no power steering = tiny girl has a hell of a time getting a 2 ton car home from campus

but it wouldn't be too smart for me to try my hands on doing the first install. first install is going to be in a friend's car.

Power supplies are fairly expensive.

I was looking at some a while back on ebay, i think they were in the $300 range

Adjustible voltage and amperage though

pretty big fuses in the fuse box on the battery : 150a, 110a, 50a, 40a and 30a. can;t remember how many of each.

i looked while dad was working on the oil pan. stooped german engineering : they tapped the cast aluminium oil pan and use a steel screw. that way, when you change the oil you can bust the oil pan thread and have to retap it.

just went through that. pretty nasty when you don;t lift the car on an elevator. and don't have all the tools a service has,
