I remember the other day I asked if anyone listens to muse. Well here a couple songs that I personally like, if you youtube there other stuff I find it kind of mehhh but for a 3 piece band they put on a hell of a show. They are huge in the UK but not so much the states.

Matt sounds pretty close to what he does in the videos live as well(from what I can see anyways). I've been trying to catch them concert wise for a year now but they don't come here very often and when they do it's usually only big places.

man I hardly ever see these as 4ohm speakers, most of the time they are 2ohm.

Image Dynamics makes both. CXS64 is 4 ohm, CXS62 is 2 ohm.

Hmmmmmm, which would you rather have. A ps3 or a wii? I've had a lot of people say the wii is a lot better game play wise.

I stand over a 2200F furnace containing molten metal for 12 hours of a day wearing 3 ft/s coveralls, thermal long underwear and long sleeve shirt, a respirator, and a molten metal splash jacket ... and it is 109F outside. On the way up to the lunch room, still in the plant but not near the furnaces, the air temperature is 158F.

At least I'm not getting shot at.

I don't teach during the summer semester ... I take it off to work on my research.

I have worked at this job previously, and it was easier to re-hire someone who is already trained to relieve for guys taking holidays. Trust me, I only took it for the money - we're not allowed to take pictures, but this plant is the definition of heavy industry.

If all goes well, I should be selling my computer at the end of the week ... Purchased for $630 after taxes (and upgrades) in April 2006, selling for $500 June 2007 ... In other words, it cost me $10/month to run it ...

I'm moving my AcePower 520 Watt PSU that's in my current gaming PC to my media center PC and the Antec 350 watt PSU that's currently in my media center PC into my bedroom PC. The AcePower is a nice PSU, but it just doesn't have good enough voltage regulation for me to feel comfortable overclocking with it. Also, the Silverstone is a lot more efficient, which means less heat.

After selling my computer, I should be able to complete the upgrade for around $250 after taxes and shipping ...

I'm running 512meg of ram with a slightly overclocked (a little past 2Ghz) AMD 64bit chip....

Haven't touched the thing in two years, it turned into a basically internet/music only computer so I never bothered.

every time i'm thinking about upgrading, i remind myself i need to save up for a dcx2496

hopefully i will be able to get my hands on one by the end of the year. and on a good pre-amp.

I really want to upgrade preamps. What I would like to do is build my own tube one, but I have to find plans for one that I like first.

looking at some links Jim posted, seems like pre amps aren't that heavy, so shipping won't be a killer

just need to decide on a 4 channel for the car

does the 2496 do anything else than 3-way cross-over ?
