I told a buddy I worked with about the new audio install I did this weekend, and after I told him it was just 1 12" woofer he laughed and said his 2 12's would be way louder than mine. He said what kind of subs they were and I'd never heard of them, and they were in a probox in the back of an ext. cab S-10.

Well today he got in my truck and I played the Intro to Speakerboxxx by Outkast for him and he quickly changed his mind... He said the ICON is just as loud as his set-up if not louder, but so much cleaner and sounds more full than his which is really what I was going for.

I'm also amazed at the output from low volumes of the sub. I noticed that when I have the remote bass knob turned 1/4 of the way from minimum, the bass still makes my rear-view mirror get blurry. I like to listen to the sub at that level for daily music, but having the remote knob makes it fun cause I can turn it up if need be

Soccer game last night was fun. My monday night league is a co-ed league and the games can get interesting. I am used to a very intense high level of soccer but co-ed throws that all out the window. It is funny because I am forced to play sweeper or we would be killed every game pretty much, but it means little scoring for me.

But last night I was able to sneak up the field and rip a few shots. Scared the living crap out of the keeper on my second shot, you could see him close his eyes and pray he did not get it in the face. Tehe

Had to use a pretty small ported enclosure to really limit excursion at that power and we used music with relatively little low frequency content to keep the coil out of trouble, but there was no damage done. It's a quick way to break it in, that's for sure.

Hopefully have sometime over the next couple of weeks to get some good listening in.

Since 4 years old. So that would me 26 years, crap that sounds like an eternity. It is an addiction, and if I could play 2 games a night I would. I have to say that my sheer speed and quickness off the ball has dropped a great deal since having my left knee fully rebuilt and bulking up over 215lbs.

I am glad you were able to put some serious power to it. That is way more than I have on tap. With that design, I have seen the sub to be pretty abuse tolerant. Mark has beat the living crap out of his 15's and my prototype has dealt well in a variety of boxes and power levels. Really looking forward to your POV on the sub.

I am buying a house, with my friend instead of renting an apartment. So it is time for me to start investing in ht. He already has a big screen tv. We are buying my grandmother's house for 60 grand. It is a nice 2.5 bedroom, (only one bathroom though). Full kitchen, large dining room and nice 10 foot ceilings.

Don't we, do it yourself and rent out to him. $60k is super cheap, on a 30 yr fixed your payment will be around $350/month

Guys standing on the beach were laughing at me when I showed up. They all had a myriad of humongous arse surf casting rods. All live bait probably cast 50 foot off the sand. Then here comes my country bumpkin ass 7 foot medium spinning rod with 10lb test. Zinging red head jigs, with a white super fluke out in the INCOMING current. I was freaking tearing them up. Laughter and snickering stopped quick

I actually meant for the tarpons...but I too enjoy the soft jerkbaits in both salt & fresh. How light of a jig?

Went fly fishing for tarpon for the first time in my life . Damn , they put up a ass load more of a fight than the trout I'm use to catching with the fly rod Caught 3 , biggest being about 41" long. Jig's I use for snook are 3/4 oz. Current in the bay I fish is really swift
