cavitation out the ying yang. I have seen it tried one time. The guy had a propped 30hp mercury on a lowe tunnel hull . The prop got so hot from the severe cavitation , it actually bent all three blades of the prop like an umbrella . You can run a jet on a regular boat though with few problems. It would be a good idea to get a jack plate though. Jet's sit so high up on the transom, with only the intake foot in the water. If it was fixed a prop would be almost out of the water completely
