Doing a little better today. Evacuated 25 homes yesterday but none were damaged.

Can't get a fire guard around it because 1) it's a steep mountain; 2) very dense forest; 3) low visibility; and 4) too dangerous. Won't be able to get any of the 200 guys sitting around up there to deal with spot fires until everything is destroyed and it isn't so dense.

Could have all been prevented ... there is no excuse for not logging that area.
