God I'd love to, but I'm not dropping 20k+ into something for a big block swap into a s-10 blazer.

I'm looking for a mildly quick blazer that can get out of its own way easily and suits to my aggressive driving style. Hate to say it, but I'm also considering something like a 50shot of the happy gas.

UMMMMMMM Sean if its sometime between the end of Jan and maybe mid feb I could possibly do it. Too far out now to really even speculate IF I'm gonna be out that way and IF the future wife and I can make the swing through there on our way back to AZ from NY. Out of the way? Yes. Well worth it if she doesn't mind shortchanging some of our NY time I'd say.

As you all would know it depends on when I am back and how she feels about all of this. Maybe for it, maybe against it.

Also if I haven't said it, congrats on the house. From the pics you have showed us, it really is VERY amazing man.

And MKader..........Days CAN be 25 hrs without switchiung times zones. They can also be 23 hrs.

Tom: Have you seen anything related to Blazer/S-10 suspension improvement without really lowering it? I'd like to improve the suspension since I do tend to like corners, but I don't want to really lower it since it is a 4x4.

*Side note, one of the cars I'd like to own one day is a lowered 4x4 S-10 blazer with a big block and a power train to stand up to hard 4x4 launches on pavement to really kickass on the street*

Improve as to make it handle (corner) better?

you might be able to find stiffer springs that don't lower it

fast ratio steering box

good tires

stiffer sway bars

Basically all around handling, make the pig move a little better.

On the Poly bushings note, is the advantage to them the fact that they won't give like regular rubber ones will or what?

pretty much, they allow less deflection than rubber ones do

and they last longer

does that year of Blazer still have leaf springs and drum brakes out back?

not a ton you can do with the leaves without converting them to some thing else, but swapping an axle from a later truck with disc brakes wouldn't be a bad idea either
